Timo Röpcke a.k.a. Dj Ultimo started his DJ Career at the well-known "Nautic Club"in his hometown "Timmendorfer Strand" in 1991. His stint at Nautic Club and several clubs in northern Germany (Hamburg, Lübeck, Kiel) lasted for 7 years before he moved on to Berlin.
Bright lights, big city he rose to the challenge, becoming the one and only resident DJ in Berlin's most famous club, the "90 Grad", in 1999. He is shaping the typical music-style at the 90 Grad and played the weekends there for 5 years meaning every weekend. Ultimo's style is very soulful house music, influenced by the 70'es disco area, and a touch of gospel and rock thrown in for good measure.
When the time was ripe Ultimo turned the job of resident DJ at the 90 Grad to a worthy successor, now playing well-known Berlin clubs, such as the Sage Club, the 40seconds, the Felix, the Adagio on a regular basis. Which doesn’t keep him from mixing up things at the 90 Grad from time to time. Finally, in the fall of 2004, Ultimo started his own radio show, called "Housejam". Every Saturday between 10:00 pm and midnight, he goes live on air on JAMFM, bringing you the finest in vocal- and disco house music (www.housejam.de).
Throughout his career Ultimo has worked together with several big names in the business, such as there are: Milk & Sugar, Knee Deep, Mousse T, Tom Novy, Tyree Cooper, Robert Owens, you name them! His main most man though is Berlin's famous House DJ, Divinity.
In addition to the club-bookings, Ultimo is often booked for big events all over Europe. Among the highlights are "Tribute to Bambi", "Formel 1 Grand Prix Monaco", "Herr der Ringe 3 Premierenfeier", "Playboy Relaunch" or "Wella Trendvision Paris".
Then again, DJ Ultimo is not just a DJ. He also organizes his own parties and events, and also has his own DJ booking agency. In 2001, Ultimo took the ultimate step and established his own fashion label:"LOOK54". LOOK54 specializes in stylish urban trashcouture (www.look54.de), and runs three stores in Berlin.
